“THE IMAGE” is a gripping thriller about memory, identity, and the weight of the past.
JOHN, 50 years old, an ambitious American living in Brussels, holds a high-ranking position and is on the verge of leading a prestigious international political organization. During an official visit to Vilnius, Lithuania, he and his delegation tour the Museum of Genocide Victims.
As they move through the exhibition halls, JOHN drifts away from the group and enters a room showcasing archival footage of Soviet-era interrogation techniques. On the screen, a man threatens a prisoner, approaches him with a knife, and executes him. Then, the killer turns to the camera and smiles—he is the mirror image of JOHN.
Haunted by this revelation, JOHN is thrust into a dangerous search for the truth. Is this a long-lost relative? A coincidence? Or proof of a past he was never meant to uncover? His position grants him access to hidden records, but every step forward risks exposing a history that could destroy his political future. The only person who might hold the answers is his mother, now in a nursing home with advanced Alzheimer’s—she never spoke of their past, but she may be the key to unlocking everything.
